We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Pharmacy Technician to join a National Leader in the Pharmacy retail space! In this role, you will be taking incoming calls and other stakeholders, providing professional phone assistance through the criteria-based prior authorization process. 

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – Prior Authorization (Temp to Hire)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Shift:

• Training: 2 weeks, Monday – Friday (hours TBD).
• Regular hours: Flexible to work a regular shift between 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM with rotating Saturdays once a month.

Compensation:

• Pay rate is $18.63 per hour.
• Weekly pay schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Process prior authorizations for medications.
• Verify insurance benefits and coverage.
• Check and process medication orders.
• Provide professional phone assistance to callers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all approvals and denials.
• Transfer clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.

Requirements:

• Must have a pharmacy technician license.
• Must have pharmacy technician experience.
• Preferred experience: Minimum of 6 months in a high-volume call center, preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.
