Are you a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician with excellent communication skills and a knack for problem-solving? We are looking for a Med B Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a fully remote, temp-to-hire basis. In this role, you will handle various assignments with urgency and precision, ensuring timely completion and maintaining a professional business image in all interactions.

*MUST HAVE A NATIONAL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION OR LICENSE OR LICENSURE PER STATE REGULATIONS. 

Location: This position is fully REMOTE. Must have the ability to effectively support a work from home environment. Internet speed will be required.

Start date: Must be available to start 6/9 or 6/16

Shift:

• Must be flexible to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:00AM – 9:00PM, Monday – Friday.
• Training hours: Monday – Friday, daylight hours.

Compensation:

• Pay rate is $21.14 per hour.
• Weekly pay schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc. providing professional phone assistance to all callers through criteria based prior authorization process.
• Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions/judgement calls to the pharmacist.
• Perform various pharmacy assignments requiring attention to detail and the ability to meet set timelines.
• Project a professional business image through phone interactions and internal communication.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Navigate and operate multiple computer programs, web-based systems, and DOS-based systems efficiently.
• Adapt to system changes and upgrades as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high volume call center – healthcare or PBM/prior authorization-related preferred.
• Must have prior authorization experience.
• Must have some familiarity with medical terminology and coding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills w/ ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Proficient computer skills and the ability to navigate in a Windows based environment.
• Ability to follow directions, and adapt in dynamic work environment; ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, time sensitive environment.
• Project a professional business image, through phone interaction as well as internal communications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency with assignments.
• Must have verifiable High School diploma or GED.
