The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and supporting the overall maintenance operations. The Machine Maintenance Technician will also package/assemble/label products as needed.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 4:00PM

Pay rate: $21-$23/hr.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure safe reliable operation and makes suggestions for improvement.
• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs and supporting overall maintenance operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on facility systems as scheduled or needed.
• Start-up/shut down equipment as needed.
• Use tools and equipment such as powered hand tools, hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.
• Assist in some spill responses.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings and schematics.
• Aide and observe all outside contractors, including escorting and monitoring work done to ensure safe practices.
• Undertake additional duties of specific projects designated by Manufacturing Manager.
• Help production teams and operators in the event of equipment malfunctions.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations to minimize production disruptions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and overall production up-time and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
• Package / Assemble / Label material as detailed on the work order while in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Requirements: 

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance techniques and practices.
• Previous experience using a Maintenance Management System.
